Kenneth Edmonds, aka Babyface, a Grammy-winning producer, is seeking $8 mιllιon for his nearly two-decade-old Bel-Air home.
Public records show that he purchased the property in 2004 for $4.1 mιllιon. Custom skylights and a range of amenities, such as a gym, music studio, theater, and masonry wine cellar, have been added by Edmonds throughout the years.
It is located on a quarter-acre in Bel-Air Crest, a guard-gated neighborhood with about 200 homes. Two old, wooden doorways with intricate carvings provide access to Edmonds’ 7,500 square foot home.
A Ԁгаmаtic atmosphere is set inside by a two-story doorway with wrought iron decorations and columns. A formal dining room, a chef’s kitchen, a family room, and a black-and-white living area with a wet bar are all accessible from here.
An elevator takes users up to the main suite, which has a lounge and spa pool, on the third floor of the three-story floor plan. Additionally, the upper level has a wraparound terrace that looks out onto a verdant backyard patio with an outdoor kitchen and swimming pool that is fed by a waterfall.
Listing agent Tomer Fridman of Compass described it as a “extremely elite product for the market” in light of the home’s size and the neighborhood’s exclusivity.
Babyface has put out eight studio albums since the 1980s; the most recent being “Return of the Tender Lover” from 2015. As a producer, the 63-year-old has worked with many R&B artists, including Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, TLC, and Usher.
