Discover the fascinating story of Johnny Depp’s ownership of the new village
A whole hamlet in the French province of Provence is still owned by Johnny Depp.
The town has been owned by the 59-year-old celebrity for more than 20 years, despite being for sale since 2015.
When Johnny Depp was dating Vanessa Paradis, a French actress, he made this lavish рᴜгϲҺаꜱe in 2001.
Although it’s unknown how much money the actor had to spend to рᴜгϲҺаꜱe the deserted town, we do know he spent more than $10M revitalizing the location.
He had the village’s roads repaved and all the residences renovated and reconstructed.
He also included the adorably adorable “Chez Marceline” café and restaurant in the French manner. The actor listed the town twice, first for $27M and another for $30M.
It consists of a main house and six guest buildings, one of which served as the original local church.
It also boasts two swimming pools, a gym, a wine cave, a skate park, and a town plaza.
Vineyards, olive orchards, and 300-year-old trees surround Johnny Depp’s French town. Although costly, it is magnificent.
Due to a contentious and well reported defamation case involving his ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp recently made headlines.
As a result of the jury’s decision in his favor, Depp was given $10M in compensatory damages.
Depp also just inked the largest-ever $20 million contract for a men’s cologne with Dior.
