Dr. Dre regretfully bid farewell to a lavish villa like a resort

Dr. Dre’s “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang”! The legendary rapper, musician, and producer sold one of his Los Angeles-area residences days after selling a bundle of music income streams and certain owned music properties to Universal Music and Shamrock Holdings for about $200 miℓℓio𝚗.

The home, located in the guard-gated Mountain View Estates complex, was erected in the late 1990s and upgraded for roughly a miℓℓio𝚗 dollars to make it a showplace, according to the listing.

The creamy stucco and terracotta-roof structure has six bedrooms, seven baths, wide-plank oak floors, soaring ceilings, designer light fixtures, and high-end granite, marble, and tile finishes in roughly 9,400 square feet of two-level living space.

The gated road leads to a motorcourt and an eight-car garage on a three-quarter-acre parcel in a quiet cul-de-sac. A portico-topped entryway leads into a double-height foyer with a spiral wrought-iron staircase, which goes immediately into a large formal dining room and a sunken living room with a decorative fireplace and French doors to the outside.

A large gourmet kitchen with an eat-in island, high-end stainless appliances, a breakfast nook, and a built-in workstation are further main-level highlights.

A movie theater, wood-paneled library, beauty salon, and opulent upstairs master bedroom with a fireside seating area, wraparound balcony, dual walk-in closets, and a luxe bath are around the corner.

The grassy grounds, dotted with palm trees, have a fire-pit lounge, pool and spa encircled by a flagstone sundeck, patio kitchen, standalone pizza oven, sport court, and lovely stone fountain overlooking scenic hillside panoramas.

The 57-year-old Compton native’s $20 miℓℓio𝚗 Carbon Beach holiday home is also for sale. Dre still has a Calabasas home, but his main abode is a $40 miℓℓio𝚗 Brentwood estate he bought from Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen nearly a decade ago.
