Previously, during a performance in Las Vegas on July 29, a female audience member splashed water onto rapper Cardi B while she was performing her hit song “Bodak Yellow” on stage. In response, Cardi B promptly hurled her microphone in the direction of the offending audience member.

Cardi B’s actions were criticized by many for being impulsive and violent. After a few moments of calm, the female rapper continued her performance, while the water-splashing audience member was asked to leave the event. The woman, at whom Cardi B had thrown the microphone, later reported the incident to local authorities.

However, a statement from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department later declared, “After a thorough review of the Cardi B case, in consultation with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, the case has been closed due to insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in connection with this incident.”

According to TMZ, the microphone that Cardi B tossed is currently being auctioned on eBay, with bids reaching as high as $30,100. Surprisingly, the microphone still functions well despite being thrown forcefully by the female rapper. The seller’s account states that the proceeds from the auction will go toward a charitable organization that supports children with special needs.
