Renowned rapper Kendrick Lamar, has made a significant real estate investment in Manhattan Beach, California

Renowned rapper Kendrick Lamar, known for his Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award-winning talent, has made a significant real estate investment in Manhattan Beach, California. After years of residing in LA’s South Bay region and reportedly renting homes in the area, Kendrick Lamar has chosen to establish a permanent residence in the upscale beach city. He recently purchased a stunning, brand-new home in an off-market deal for just over $9.7 million.

Since the property was not publicly listed, specific details and interior images remain limited. However, given that the mansion was constructed by esteemed luxury homebuilder Powers Development, it is safe to assume that it boasts state-of-the-art features, including a designer kitchen, a luxurious master retreat, and convenient wet bars.

What is known is that the contemporary house spans 5,350 square feet across three stories, making optimal use of the lot in this densely-packed beachfront neighborhood. Although the property does not sit directly on the ocean, the uppermost level provides breathtaking sunset water views and a spacious open-air balcony. The residence features floor-to-ceiling walls of glass, a three-car garage, a small front yard with a patio, and modern design elements.

While the neighborhood lacks in-ground swimming pools due to space constraints, Kendrick Lamar’s new home benefits from its close proximity to a fantastic sandy beach, offering a natural and serene alternative for relaxation.

Manhattan Beach has long been recognized for its laid-back atmosphere and the presence of numerous professional athletes as residents. Lamar’s new residence is situated next to an under-construction contemporary mansion being built for ice hockey star Ryan Miller. Other notable homeowners in the area include Blake Griffin, Maria Sharapova, Luke Walton, and Zooey Deschanel.

This isn’t Kendrick Lamar’s first venture into real estate; in 2013, he purchased an ordinary house in Eastvale, Riverside County, and in 2017, he acquired a larger property in a guard-gated community in Calabasas for his family.

The deal for Kendrick Lamar’s new Manhattan Beach mansion was brokered by Gary Kooba of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, representing the listing, and Mark Norton of Palm Realty Boutique, representing Lamar.
