When you’re the mastermind and driving force behind one of the entertainment industry’s most triumphant families, routine tasks like refueling a car or visiting a car wash might seem foreign. However, indulging in a lavish vacation is the norm for Kris Jenner.
The momager, entrepreneur, and reality TV star commenced the summer vacation season with a week-long sojourn aboard the Flag, an illustrious and stunning celebrity-owned superyacht available for charter. But Kris Jenner isn’t your typical affluent individual who can simply afford the steep weekly charter rate of over $340,000 (excluding expenses). She had the unique privilege of relaxing on the superyacht alongside its proprietor, the renowned designer Tommy Hilfiger.
Throughout a full week, Jenner and her boyfriend Corey Gamble, accompanied by Tommy and Dee Hilfiger, embarked on a cruise along the enchanting Amalfi Coast, relishing the initial days of summer. True to the Kardashian/Jenner style, segments of this getaway were captured and shared as aspirational content across social media platforms.
Flag has earned its reputation as a favored destination for celebrities. Tommy Hilfiger, now its third owner since the vessel’s inception in 2000 as Cakewalk, has been making it available for charter since his acquisition, largely due to the substantial yearly ownership expenses. Notable figures like Lewis Hamilton, Bella Hadid, A$AP Rocky, and Kendall Jenner have frequently been photographed enjoying vacations aboard this superyacht.
Stretching to an impressive length of 204 feet (62 meters) and featuring a robust steel hull, Flag (formerly known as Cakewalk, Fortunato, and Faith) proudly exhibits Tommy Hilfiger’s signature color palette and derives its name from the iconic Hilfiger logo. Although the fundamental layout remained relatively unchanged, the interior underwent a complete transformation under the expertise of Ralph Lauren’s creative director, Chahan Minnasian. The interior now boasts opulent details such as Hermes sheepskin chairs and lavish mahogany accents.
Flag accommodates 14 guests across seven cabins, in addition to providing quarters for a crew of 17. Twin Caterpillar engines drive the vessel, propelling it to a maximum speed of 16 knots (approximately 18.4 mph or 29.6 kph). Its cruising range extends over an impressive 6,800 nautical miles (equivalent to 7,825 miles or 12,593 km).
Crafted with a focus on family-oriented enjoyment, Flag is replete with entertainment amenities. These include a theater, a substantial pool located on the sun deck, formal and casual lounging areas, ample outdoor spaces, a well-equipped gym, and a diverse array of water toys. Curiously, Flag is also available for acquisition, as Tommy Hilfiger decided to put it up for sale. The superyacht was listed in December 2021 for a sum of $46 million.
