Bruno Mars rented half of an island in Hawaii to open a Pop-up bar just in time for summer

A temporary bar with a tropical decor is the epitome of a summertime vacation in Hawaii.

The addition of some Bruno Mars turns it into a proper celebration.

The pop-up SelvaRey Rum Bar at the Fairmont Orchid on Hawai’i Island was opened in May by the Grammy-winning, Hawaii-born singer. The bar, which overlooks Pauoa Bay and its golden sands, is currently open from 4 p.m. till sunset until June 30. (Although we expect that if the bar is extremely popular, the hotel will consider keeping it open for longer.)

Mars is a co-owner of SelvaRey Rum, which will be featured in five of the bar’s trademark cocktails. You can check out the menu below.

SelvaRey White Rum, mint, sugar, lime, and Champagne make up the Mojito Royale ($20) cocktail.

SelvaRey Chocolate Rum, coffee liqueur, and Kona cold brew coffee make up the Cold Brewno ($22) cocktail.

Hollywood Colada-style Uptown Punch for $18 features SelvaRey Coconut Rum, orange, lime, and pomegranate juice. Pineapple, coconut water, agave, lime, and SelvaRey Coconut Rum ($18)

Weekend at Bruno’s ($18) combines SelvaRey White Rum, lilikoi (passion fruit), and lime with pineapple.

Coconut shrimp, chicken wings, and ahi avocado poke will be available as bar snacks.

The Mojito Royale, a variation on the traditional mojito that includes Champagne, was a crowd pleaser. It was a pleasant and welcome surprise, and it was enchanting to enjoy a glass of this as the sun sank over the Kohala Coast. It’s the best possible way to spend the summer in Hawaii.

Although the five cocktails are exclusive to the pop-up bar, SelvaRey Rum may be found in dishes all across the resort well into June 30.

Using only sugarcane grown in Panama, SelvaRey Rum manufactures multiple types of rum in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.

Mars is just one of several famous artists and actors who also own wineries or distilleries. The list also includes Katy Perry and her Ciroc, Blake Shelton and his Smithworks Hard Seltzer Lemonade, and Sean “Diddy” Combs and his Ciroc.

The pop-up bar is a part of Fairmont’s new Beyond LIMITS series, which offers guests of the most prestigious Fairmont hotels in North and Central America a selection of innovative, out-of-the-box experiences.
