Cristiano Ronaldo takes a vacation with a former Manchester United teammate to unwind after a nasty breakup

When he departed Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo may have burned many bridges, but he didn’t do so with Diogo Dalot.

Ronaldo and Dalot are on vacation together after playing in two crucial qualifying matches at Euro 2024 earlier this month. After becoming fast friends on the club and international levels, the two Portuguese players and their respective partners were seen enjoying life aboard a luxury yacht off the coast of Sardinia, Italy.

Dalot, who renewed his five-year deal with United in May, was reportedly made fun of behind the scenes for being the ‘president of the Cristiano Ronaldo fan club’ in Manchester, despite the fact that he is a huge follower of the Portuguese forward. Seven months after his sad exit from Old Trafford, the right back for the Red Devils with whom Ronaldo took a snap won’t care.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner captioned an Instagram image with “vacation mood,” along with a pair of sunglasses emoji. Ronaldo also posted two photos of himself in which he poses to show off his buff physique.

The Portugal captain and Dalot were reportedly on Ronaldo’s £5.5 million yacht last week as he became the first male player in football history to earn 200 international caps. A pair of victories over Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iceland in the most recent round of European Championship qualifying boosted their country to six points.

It had been 12 months since Ronaldo’s relationship with United had started to sour when he scored the game-winning goal in the latter victory. The 38-year-old player requested a transfer last summer but was not granted one.

Ronaldo finally got his wish after an infamous TV chat with Piers Morgan after four cold months working under new manager Erik ten Hag. The ex-Real Madrid and Juventus great player tried to hasten his departure by criticizing Ten Hag, the club’s administration, and his former teammates.
