The Allure of Lady Gaga’s $22.5M Malibu Estate

The Allure of Lady Gaga’s $22.5M Malibu Estate!

Lady Gaga purchased her opulent beachside property in Malibu, CA, in 2014 for a casual $22.5M, according to Realtor.com.1 It was featured in the Netflix documentary about the singer’s life, Gaga: Five Foot Two, and was the meeting place of Gaga and Bradley Cooper when he offered her the role of the leading lady in the upcoming iteration of A Star Is Born, a recent Vogue feature reveals. “This is my sanctuary…my oasis of peace,’” Gaga says in the interview.2

The lavish property spans 10,270 square feet on a nearly six-acre lot right across from Zuma Beach. It boasts five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. An open floor plan creates expansive living and dining areas downstairs, while exposed wooden beams give the space a modern rustic vibe. Upstairs, the beautiful primary suite is complete with its own private terrace. The property also boasts a wine cellar, home theater, wet bar, and 1960s-era bowling alley on the lower level of the property.

The term “Primary Suite” is now widely used to describe the largest bedroom in the home with an en suite bath, as it better reflects the space’s purpose. Many realtors, architects, interior designers, and the Real Estate Standards Association have recognized the potentially discriminatory connotations in the term “Master.” Read more about our Diversity and Inclusion Pledge.

Outside are horse stables and a guest cottage, but the real luxury is the front-row view of the ocean from a saltwater infinity pool, bocce ball court, and outdoor dining areas. With mountains on one side and the Pacific coast on the other, it has to be seen to be believed. Take a look inside the star’s luxe home below.

The sprawling beach home’s Mediterranean-style influences are apparent in its barrel tile roof and stucco exterior. Columns on either end of the open-air porches create a focal point at the center of the house.

True to the landscape, the home’s architecture blends in effortlessly with rolling hills and wide, open spaces. Its layout follows the height of the hillside with the main two-story structure poised on the left, while one-story sections on the right allow distant mountains to barely peek above the surface.

An open floor plan connects the elegant dining area to an inviting, traditionally decorated living room. Ceiling beams installed only above the living area offer a distinction between the two rooms.

We’re swooning over this classic chandelier with matching sconces. The light fixtures in this space create a sense of balance in its design.

To lighten up the earthy, natural hues of the home’s architecture, the living area is furnished with white upholstered furniture. The use of identical sofas staged across from each other adds to the themes of symmetry.

This sunroom is a lesson in mixing wood tones like a designer. Rustic, weathered wood frames on the French doors contrast darker natural tones on the ceiling.

The sunroom’s elegant doors lead out to a small patio with cobblestone outdoor flooring. Protected by the walls of the home, this intimate seating area offers privacy from the main rooms.

The primary suite features a luxurious canopy bed styled with an upscale chandelier and exposed beams framing the roof of the house.

Just off the suite is a private patio overlooking the ocean. Along with patio seating for four, the patio is furnished with an inviting daybed.

This guest bedroom features the home’s Mediterranean influences. It showcases stucco walls and exposed beams, while neutral colors are used in its décor to keep with the earthy theme.

Many celebrity homes have their own private gyms, and Lady Gaga’s keeps it simple. A few choice pieces of equipment rest atop a large neutral rug for a minimalistic look.

A separate family room creates space to relax away from the home’s main entertaining area. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors offer views of the coast.

A-frame ceilings make the smaller room appear larger, while natural textures like wood, leather, and a jute rug complement the architecture’s warm hues.

In this living area, a square coffee table is used as a focal point between a plush sofa and matching accent chairs. The stone fireplace blends into the room’s color scheme.

The sprawling kitchen is filled with modern updates, but its finished look is a masterclass in blending styles. High-end décor, from the counters to the pendant lights, features rustic finishes for an intentional look.

Wood cathedral ceilings are accented by horizontal and vertical beams for a burst of texture that carries throughout the space.

The room’s color scheme is continued into the living area, where darker shades in the furniture accent the color of the beams.

Natural finishes like this wood dining table work alongside the room’s rustic themes. From the kitchen, French doors walk out to a covered patio.

Another patio features cobblestone flooring with space for entertaining. Seating for six guests is styled around its outdoor fireplace.

Ocean views are abundant from the backyard. A large covered area protects the patio from rain and allows guests to enjoy the outdoors in the shade.

Along with its walk-in closets and extravagant rooms, the home also features a private stable with pastures for horses. The buildings are designed with similar exteriors to the home for a cohesive style.

Inside the stable, rustic finishes maintain the Mediterranean vibe. A-frame ceilings, terracotta floors, and wood details complete this classic look.

Lush greenery lines the edges of the home’s outdoor patio space. From the outdoor patio, views of the coastline are tied together with mature trees and modern landscaping.

We’d love to take a dip in this luxurious pool. Lined with a deep blue hue on the interior, the pool reflects the open sky to blend with the property’s best natural features.

A look at the home from the edge of the pool deck offers a full scope of the home’s lavish exterior. In the evening, a soft glow in the water extends the warm, inviting light emitted from the house.
