The Rolling Stones have just announced the release of their first studio album in 18 years!
The Rolling Stones have just announced the release of their first studio album in 18 years, titled “Hackney Diamonds.” After years of speculation and an extensive promotional campaign featuring the iconic band’s logo projected onto architectural landmarks in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and more, the British rock legends unveiled this highly anticipated album.
Variety reports that detailed information about the album was revealed on September 6th at an event in Hackney, East London. The band’s three members, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ron Wood, will engage in a live interview with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. The exclusive launch event will be organized and streamed worldwide via YouTube.
The Rolling Stones have been recording the new album for several years, with at least one track rumored to feature contributions from surviving Beatles members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
“Hackney Diamonds” marks the band’s first release since the passing of member Charlie Watts in 2021. Despite the members of the Rolling Stones entering their 80s, the band has continued to tour regularly in recent years.
