Ice Cube and Red Hot Chili Peppers announce their 2024 tour

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, an enduring institution in American alternative music, have reverted to their core-four lineup, including Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith, and John Frusciante. They are occupied with much activity. The Chili Peppers put out two albums last year: Return Of The Dream Canteen and Unlimited Love. Along with opening groups like the Strokes, Beck, HAIM, St. Vincent, and A$AP Rocky, they also went on stadium tours. The Chili Peppers will hit the road again in North America next year. This time, they’re playing in a few significantly smaller locations, but their selection of tourmates is no less intriguing.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are taking their summer tour of outdoor amphitheaters throughout North America, and no, they’re not selling package offers reminiscent of ’90s nostalgia. But Ice Cube, who began touring with the Chili Peppers 32 years ago, will be sharing certain stages with them. (They were both on the same lineup at Lollapalooza ’92.) The lineups for the events vary from city to city, and the other openers are a very diverse group: Kid Cudi and Ken Carson, the legendary rappers, Afrobeat artist Seun Kuti, psych-rock eccentrics Wand, and Japanese post-punk band Otoboke Beaver. All of the performances will begin with an opening act, LA rockers Irontom, whose lead guitarist is Zach Irons, the son of original Chili Peppers drummer Jack. See the dates of the tour below.
