Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong, popularly known as Black Sherif, was born on January 9, 2002, in Konongo-Zongo, located in Ghana’s Ashanti Region.
His upbringing was marked by a nomadic lifestyle, as he moved around with his family from a young age.
When he was ten years old, he began living with his aunt and other extended family members due to his parents working abroad. This early exposure to various cultures and experiences ignited his interest in diverse ideas, and at times, he contemplated pursuing a career as a professional dancer.
His educational journey began at the Konongo Zongo Islamic Basic School, where he received his elementary education. He later completed his junior high school (J.H.S.) studies at Pinamang Educational Complex.
It was during his time at Kumasi Academy for his secondary education that Black Sherif’s passion for dancing and music flourished. Currently, he is enrolled at the University of Ghana, having previously been a student at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).
According to reports, Black Sherif resides in Oyarifa in a spacious home with three or more bedrooms. His residence includes a built-in studio, reflecting his dedication to his musical craft, and a home gym for maintaining his physical well-being. Additionally, he is the proud owner of multiple vehicles, including a Mercedes Benz C300 and a Toyota Tundra, which were gifted to him by his management team.
Black Sherif’s journey from his humble beginnings in Konongo-Zongo to becoming a rising star in the Ghanaian music industry is an inspiring testament to his talent and determination.
