Rick Ross saves by only spending $100m in 6 months
Rapper, musician, and self-described “Boss,” Rick Ross, is going on quite the buying spree based on several of his own songs. The rapper says he has spent $100 million in the previous six months alone. During an interview on Apple Music’s Rap Life Radio with Ebro Darden, Ross discussed his financial goals and his willingness to make significant expenditures when necessary.
What’s remarkable about the chat is that Ross outlines his expenses for 2023 and calls himself “frugal.” Ross implied that whether or not others know it, he is continually working when he told the Apple Music presenter, “I have been cooking on the stove for a long time, and really I was getting money the whole time.” “I’m a real frugal n**** sometimes, but I’ll make a power play when the time is right,” he said. I have a $100 million budget. “S***, I’ve already spent that in the last six months,” said Ross.
Ross did not go into detail about the particular power moves he made that ended up costing him a lot of money, but it seems like not all of the money is being invested in commercial ventures. The pop sensation just paid $35 million for a Miami Beach house on Star Island. The gifted hip-hop musician also disclosed to his fans that he may have purchased an aircraft for $35 million. The remaining $100 million, he says, is invested.
By asserting categorically that this was the trutҺ and not just boasting, Ross appeared to close that section of the discussion. “We’re actually spending time on it, not just talking about it,” Ross said.
In a subsequent video, Ross clarified that spending $100 million on real estate or commercial endeavors is not the same as throwing it all away on frivolous things. Money is departing in either case, but the two are not the same. With a humorous prediction that it may be $50 million in investments and $50 million in frivolous spending, the rapper didn’t hold back.
