Kendrick Lamar enjoys a happy life with his girlfriend at a villa considered one of the most luxurious villas in Los Angeles
The house, which has adorned the East Gate neighborhood since the early 1950s, was purchased by the rapper for $15.9M.
Rapper Kendrick Lamar has paid $15.9M on a brand-new house in Bel Air, Los Angeles’s star-studded East Gate enclave. Edward Fickett, a renowned architect and advisor to the US federal, state, and municipal governments as well as President Dwight D. Eisenhower, first constructed the property in 1951. The house retains Edward’s distinctive aesthetic thanks to its recognizable white front with brick accents and big, arching windows. It has now been refurbished and enlarged into a bigger, modern complex.
This estate is among the most in LA and unquestionably one of the top residences in the world because to its link to one of America’s most prominent architects and its location in a sought-after postcode.
The estate (seen below) has undergone remodeling, and now includes a main house and a two-story guesthouse with a combined seven bedrooms and 8,000 square feet of living space.
According to a story from Dirt, Kendrick Lamar had previously resided in Manhattan Beach, a seaside community in the South Bay that is about an hour away from Bel Air.
The 35-year-old Compton native, who was most renowned for his forward-thinking rap techniques and socially conscious compositions, resided in a contemporary home not far from the water. His fourth studio album, he received a Pulitzer Prize and 14 Grammy Awards.
His new house may have a more classic front than his Miami Beach residence, but the inside are more modern than you would expect.
The home seems to be firmly anchored in the 21st century from the inside out, with a modern neutral color palette seen throughout the property.
The family room, which opens to a white kitchen with a large butler’s pantry and a breakfast room, is one of the home’s most notable rooms. In the middle of the room, there is an eat-in island that is ideal for organizing social gatherings in the kitchen.
Kendrick’s new house contains a principal suite with a separate sitting space by a fireplace in addition to the main living and eating facilities. According to Dirt, the bedroom opens to a roomy bathroom with two vanities and a clawfoot tub. A home gym, movie theater, wine cellar, and library are further advantages.
Outside the house, the yard has a pool (complete with a sundeck and koi pond around it) and a large outdoor eating space.
