The intriguing tгᴜтҺ behind Britney Spears hasty sale of neighboring mansion
Britney Spears is selling her Southern California home six months after buying it. The Princess of Pop and her husband Sam Asghari purchased the Calabasas home in July 2022, not long after getting married. Realtor claims that they have subsequently had a change of heart.
The six-bedroom, 1.6-acre estate is located in the Estate at The Oaks area. The lavish residence has a water slide, a personal fitness center, a waterfall pool, and a 10-seat movie theater.
Following her 13-year conservatorship, Spears purchased the 1082 square meter home as her first home. Spears used her newly found financial freedom to spend $11.8M on the extravagant mansion.
There were, however, suspicions at the time of the purchase that Spears could have made a purchase at the peak of the market. According to Coldwell Banker agent Cara Ameer, homes like this one that have expansive grounds and settings but could be overdone inside can be challenging to sell regardless of how hot the market is.
The Estates of The Oaks of Calabasas, however, are a highly exclusive gated neighborhood inside a gated neighborhood with just around 50 homes altogether, which makes buying a property here rather difficult, according to Aimee Stern of The Agency.
Given that it doesn’t appear like the property was a long-term investment for them, the pair will probably leave the area, which includes residents like Travis Barker of Blink-182 and Kourtney Kardashian.
The single-story house was completed in 2009 and has arched corridors, vaulted ceilings in the office, a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast bar, a gaming room, a wet bar, and a wet bar.
The home is equipped with smart technologies and a surveillance system. The singer of “Tux” won’t be homeless, however, since she still owns the sizable residence in Oaks that she paid $7.5M for in 2015.
Just before closing on the Calabasas property, Sprears and Asghari were married in their Oaks home.
Spears gained popularity among teens with the publication of her two best-selling albums, “Baby One More Time” and “Oops! I Did It Again,” in 1999 and 2000. More than 100M recordings have been sold globally, and she has won several awards, including a Grammy.
When she was arbitrarily placed under a conservatorship in 2008, her assets were seized into custody.
