Metallica Shares Intense New Song and Video for “Screaming Suicide”
The second single off of 72 Seasons, Metallica’s forthcoming studio album, has been published. The album will be available on Blackened Recordings on Friday, April 14. A music video for the song was also released, and you can view it below:
Tim Saccenti directed the music video, which shows the band playing the song in the rain and snow while dressed in black and white. The song itself talks about suicide and how it’s not acceptable anywhere. The goal is to talk about the inner darkness we all experience. The idea that we should suppress these ideas is absurd. I think the majority of people have given it some consideration at some time. Facing it means expressing what is unsaid. If it’s a common human experience, we need to be allowed to discuss it. James Hetfield, the lead man of Metallica, declares, “You are not alone.”
Tickets for Metallica’s 2023–2024 world tour are now available here. The band will play two nights in each location, with Architects, Mammoth WVH, Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills, Pantera, and Greta Van Fleet among the varied and thrilling support bands each night.
Every ticket purchased will go to Metallica’s All Within My Hands charity, which was established in 2017. The charity aims to improve and enhance the lives of local residents who have given the band support. With the help of approximately $13 million in donations, AWMH has been able to support disaster relief operations throughout the globe, address food insecurity with over $2.5 million, and professional and technical education programs in the US with $5.9 million in grants.
