Metallica surprised everyone by announcing that their four greatest albums will be re-released internationally on colored vinyl

Metallica has revealed that four more unique limited edition colored vinyl records will be reissued internationally. Hardwired, Garage, Inc., Deаth Magnetic, and St. Anger.Through July, To Self-Destruct will release each song individually. Next month, the limited editions will be sold outside of the United States. The first album of the second tranche, Garage, will be released by UMR/Mercury.

On April 5, Garage Inc., the first record in the second tranche, will be released by UMR/Mercury on colored vinyl with a fade to blue tint.

In 2021, Metallica collaborated with Walmart to offer a line of colorful vinyl releases in the US market.

A new album would be released each month until March 2024, with the first five of those albums going on sale outside of the United States in October of last year.
