Jeffree Star, the world’s richest YouTuber, can’t sell a house. Despite several price cuts and a media campaign, 36-year-old Orange County native has failed to sell his internationally famous Hidden Hills mega-mansion.
Star still tries. His property has resurfaced with a new high-powered real estate agent, newly arranged interiors, new listing images, and a new asking price of $15.5 miℓℓio𝚗, $4.5 miℓℓio𝚗 less than Star originally sought.
Even with a full-price offer, taxes, realtor costs, and the cost of maintaining a large property make it doubtful Star will make a profit. The cosmetics mogul bought the roughly three-acre estate for $14.6 miℓℓio𝚗 in December 2019 and renovated it extensively.
At the time of his рᴜrcҺɑse, Star said “everything in the house was 10 years old” and outdated. He updated all the electrical, security, and HVAC systems and replaced the dull gray-and-brown interior color scheme with a lively white-and-gold pattern with pops of garish pink and red.
Mr. Kate’s husband-and-wife YouTube design team revamped Star’s at-home massage facilities in 2020.
Why hasn’t the house sold? It may answer “how big is too big”. The Star mansion may be the largest house in Hidden Hills, with over 20,000 square feet of living space, two attached guesthouses, a detached “barn,” and an underground garage supposedly not included in the total square footage.
Two massive islands and many commercial-grade refrigerators and freezers can feed an army in the kitchen.
