Elvis Andrus Inducted into the Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame
Longtime Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus has been honored with a place in the team’s Hall of Fame.
Andrus played for the Rangers from 2009 to 2020, where his infectious personality and bright smile quickly endeared him to fans in Arlington. During his tenure, he was named to two All-Star teams and played a pivotal role in leading the Rangers to two World Series appearances.
After stints with the Oakland Athletics and Chicago White Sox, Andrus retired as a Ranger on September 6, 2024. The Venezuelan native is set to return to the organization in 2025 as a pre-and postgame analyst for select games on the Rangers Sports Network.
