Rap music was never the only thing that Rick “Rozay” Ross was interested in. The multi-platinum, nine-time Grammy Award winner always thought he would be flying high, soaring above the rest, with his passion and ambition. And he has proven that by going from “Hustlin'” to meeting President Barack Obama at the White House, costarring with Eddie Murphy in Coming 2 America, and making it to the New York Times bestseller list twice. He also has billions of streams, hundreds of multi-platinum certifications, and five #1 Billboard Top 200 debuts.
Along with his work as a musician, the 49-year-old luxury connoisseur is a savvy entrepreneur who has built one of the most powerful empires in the world. This empire includes partnerships, a number of restaurants, real estate worth tens of millions of dollars, and the launch of his own products. The Rick Ross Car & Bike Show, the Rick Ross Boss Up Conference, Wingstop, Checkers, Rap Snacks, High Tolerance, Slippery Soap LLC, Belaire Rosé + Sovereign Brands, and, of course, Maybach Music Group—the label he founded that helped launch superstars like Meek Mill and Wale—are some of his business interests.

As he expands his domain, Ross sat down to talk about a longstanding dream that has finally come true: owning his own private jet. Rick has always had a passion for automobiles and grew up appreciating impeccable craftsmanship. When he was just 13 years old, he worked at a local car wash in Miami and fell in love with the art of vehicles. Today, the same meticulous enthusiasm propels his flying quest. His personal plane, a gorgeous Gulfstream G550 with the words “Rich Forever” emblazoned on the side, demonstrates his commitment to living life at the highest altitude, combining business and pleasure with unconstrained style.

We chose to highlight his love of the high life on the first cover of our newest book, Haute Jets, which reimagines what it means to be a part of the jet set. Ross truly embraces the spirit of the sky as he extols the virtues of private aviation and inspires a new generation to strive more, dream bigger, and soar higher. He is continuing growing after the success of his most recent album, Too Good To Be True, and his well-received Rick Ross Car & Bike Show at the Promise Land in Fayetteville, Georgia. He is putting all of his effort into making his most sincere, honest, and extravagant work to date.
